Questoverseas talks about their projects in Africa // Questoverseas habla de sus proyectos en África

We're extremelly happy, as Questoverseas have sent us some videos of their work in Africa, building sand dams. We've edited them a bit (added subtitles in Spanish and an introduction) and we're going to be showing them in our high schools, as we think it's a great way for people to see that help is needed out in Africa, we think it will help raise awareness. For us it's been really interesting to hear the volunteers talking about the projects and their experience in Africa.

We also informed you that we had been in touch with some of the Quest volunteers, through a Facebook page. Over the past weeks they've been telling us their stories, and we'll soon be sharing them with you on our Website. Two of the volunteers, Claire and Rose, have sent us some videos telling us about their work in Africa. After these last few months of research on water shortage, we're lucky to be getting all this information first hand.

Next step: we'll all be running off to build sand dams!!

Questoverseas: Kenya Water Relief community development project

After seeing a video on Youtube of the Questoverseas Kenya Water Relief community development project, where volunteers help build sand damns, we contacted the organization. Very kindly they got us in touch with some of the volunteers that worked in Africa, so we could get some information first hand.
We decided the best way to communicate was on a Facebook page. Soon we’ll be telling you more about our chats on there with the Quest volunteers!

THANK YOU QUESTOVERSEAS, FOR LETTING US USE THE VIDEOS!!!! AND THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS, FOR GIVING US A HAND!!!

¡¡GRACIAS QUEST, POR DEJARNOS USAR LOS VÍDEOS!! ¡¡¡Y GRACIAS, VOLUNTARIOS, POR ECHARNOS UNA MANO!!!

Presentation video outtakes // Tomas falsas

Carlos and Fabricio: specialists in making green screen video.
Petra and Mercè: no idea.

We thought it would be easy, but in the end making the video was a nightmare. The girls (us) just couldn't get it right: the background wasn't right, then there were too many shadows...

In the end thanks to Emma's husband we managed to do it... and Fabricio and Carlos (with the help of Jonathan) finally finished editing it. Boys, thank you for your patience!!

We thought you might like to see the outtakes, so here they are.

By the way, Mercè did it right from the beginning, so there's hardly any outtakes of her!

Raising awareness // Concienciando

Over the past weeks we have been doing awareness activities in our high schools, with the students in the lower levels. We have done some videos and audios, which we have sent to a couple of school Radio stations: Radio Híbrido Zacapoaxtla in Mexico (part of Radio TZ Digital) and Radio La Capullana, Peru. We have an interview with Radio Solidaria Online (Spain) on March 15th. Through the radio we are hoping to get our message through to as many people as possible.
